Tristan Prettyman is a true California girl. Born and raised in San Diego, she surfs, she plays the acoustic guitar, and she’s a former Roxy model. As a kid she snuck into her parents’ room and began playing with her father’s guitar.
“I was Googling poems online. I was on Pinterest looking up quotes and just thinking I could read a phrase,” she said.
“He’s heard a couple songs. His response to, I think it was, ‘Marry You’ was, ‘Wow. You really just put it all out there,'” Prettyman confessed.
The singer-songwriter reveals her nerves of making the record so specific to phone calls and emails and conversations with her ex.
