Big thanks to Three Dog Bakery in Plano and Southlake for helping us!
Tia and Tamera (Sister Sister reference!) are 2 year old female, Labrador/Golden mixes, about 55 lbs, who were adopted from a local shelter together by a kind person who didn’t want to see them put to sleep. She also had several other dogs and came to the conclusion that she needed some help finding them new homes–so she asked Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas to help.
Tia is a high energy sweetheart who is looking for a person to call her very own. She is a shy girl at first, but once she warms up, she seems to be drawn to female humans. She is house trained and will do well with basic obedience training. She is smart and very eager to please. She is crate-trained and needs to be crated when left alone until she learns her house manners and matures a bit. She would do well in a large yard to run around in or someone that is looking for a jogging partner. If she is exercised, she is a sweet snuggle bug in the house. She loves to hang out with her human companion and watch TV or read. She even fell asleep while snuggled on her foster mom on the couch. She gets along with other dogs her size and will do well with another active large dog, but no small dogs or cats.
Tamera is also a high energy girl who loves to run and play with other playful dogs her size (she should not be in a home with small dogs or cats). She is looking for her very own family and will be very loyal and attached to her people. Like Tia she will do well with basic training, she is eager to please and would love for someone to teach her all about being a spoiled house puppy. She would also make a great running partner.
Tia and Tamera are available through Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas. Their adoption fee is $300 (each), they are up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. They would make a great pair, but do not need to be adopted together.
