For those who didn’t stop believing, their wish came true. Journey frontman Steve Perry hit the stage last night (May 26) after nearly twenty years to perform a few of his classics. But, Perry didn’t reunite with Journey, instead he took the stage with the Eels in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Perry came out to perform the Eels’ 2000 song, “It’s A Motherf—er” during the band’s encore at the 1,000-capacity theater. And after he finished, wondered why the Eels hadn’t performed any of his songs.

The truth is, they were waiting for him.

Perry than launched into two Journey classics, “Open Arms” and “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin,'” which got the crowd singing along.
