Elvis and Tupac have done it and now you can add Michael Jackson to the list. Yes, last night (May 18) MJ became a hologram for a performance at the Billboard Music Awards.

Dressed in similar duds to what he wore during his Dangerous days he performed “Slave to the Rhythm,” a song he originally recorded with L.A. Reid and Babyface during the Dangerous sessions in 1991, but was recently released on the posthumous album, XSCAPE.

Jackson’s hologram showed off some of his signature moves, next to a team of 16 human dancers. Unfortunately, the hologram just didn’t have the same smoothness of the real King of Pop.

Was I the only one a little freaked out at the Michael Jackson “performance” last night on The Billboard Music Awards? I found it just a bit creepy beings he’s dead and all. In case you missed it, here it is. Watch it and tell me if I’m justified in feeling it was odd.
