Woman’s “Fat Girl Rant” On Louis CK’s Sitcom Strikes A Chord
Comedian Louis CK’s cable sitcom Louie is getting a lot of attention this week. A recent episode featured guest star Sarah Baker delivering an epic rant on being a fat girl and dating.
The rant has strong language, but you can watch it HERE.
Jezebel posted a transcript of the empowering rant about fat girls. The character Vanessa, played by Baker, starts, “Louie, you know what the meanest thing is you can say to a fat girl? ‘You’re not fat.’ I mean, come on, buddy. It just sucks. It really really sucks.”
“If I was a very, really beautiful, then you would have said yes when I asked you out. I mean, come on, Louie, be honest here. You know what’s funny? I flirt with guys all the time. And I mean the great looking ones, the really high-caliber studs? They flirt right back, no problem. Because they know their status will never be questioned. But guys like you never flirt with me, because you get scared that maybe you should be with a girl like me.“
The rant has struck a chord with women and some of the unfairness of dating.
