Watch Arcade Fire Cover Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’ in Houston

Arcade Fire has continued to let the good disco jams roll with their new tour.

According to Stereogum, the indie rockers covered Blondie staple “Heart of Glass” at their show in Houston last night (April 9).

The beginning of the audio that was taken from the concert sounds quite like an intro to the band’s 2010 hit “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)” at first — and that’s because the band led into the cover with the song from The Suburbs – but it soon zooms into totally new territory with the ’70s hit, covered on lead vocals by singer Regine Chassagne.

Frontman Win Butler isn’t totally absent vocals-wise; he can be heard doing some backing vocals after about a minute into the song.
