As we reported earlier, Stephen Colbert will take over David Letterman’s “Late Show” on CBS when Letterman retires next year. I am totally stoked about this move, I love The Colbert Report on Comedy Central. But, where does this leave Craig Ferguson?

Craig Ferguson, who hosts the “Late Late Show” after Dave’s time slot, had a wonderful clause built into in his contract that if Letterman retired, and Ferguson wasn’t given the “Late Show”…he got a HUGE bonus. Pretty smart huh?

The rumored payout…between 5 and 12 million dollars! Go Craig!
