If you travel to Spain, you can run with the bulls. For many, it’s a bucket list item. This weekend, the experience of being chased by 1,500lb bulls is coming to North Texas, and our very own John has signed up to run with them.
Tomorrow is the Great Bull Run. The Texas Motorplex in Ennis will play host to the brave souls willing to take their lives in their hands to run in front of 1.5 tons of living, kicking, angry beef. Not only will there be a bull run, but they will also have another Spanish tradition, the tomato food fight.
The bull runs start at 11AM and is followed by another every 30 minutes until 1:30PM. After the runs are done, the Tomato Royale kicks off at 3PM with an epic food fight with the disputed fruit. Registration will be open the day of the event; prices are $70 for the bull run and $45 for the Tomato Royale. The Texas Motorplex is located in Ennis at 7500 U.S. 287. We also chatted about a local 9-year-old who was invited to play in Augusta this weekend at The Masters. Talk about living the dream! CBS DFW reports that Andrew Peruzzelli from Dallas was selected as one of 88 young golfers who were invited to the Augusta National Golf Club to compete in the first ever Drive, Chip and Putt Championship final.
