Grizz is a male 5-year-old, 62lb, black labrador retriever mix. He’s pretty much the perfect dog. He’s quiet for a lab mix; he doesn’t bark much. He entertains himself with toys, loves to cuddle at night while watching TV or sleeping. He gets along with other dogs. He doesn’t have any experience with children, but he’s so gentle and well-behaved that he should fit right in with kids of any age. He really is the perfect companion. He’s so loving that he often leans in for hugs.

Grizz came to the Humane Society of Flower Mound from Glen Rose Animal Shelter. He had a back injury that was possibly due to being hit by a car. He was taken to the emergency room for an injured disc, and after months of chiropractic therapy, he runs, plays, and jumps on the bed.
You can bring Grizz home for a $200 adoption fee. Contact the Humane Society of Flower Mound by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, by calling 972-691-7387, or by filling out an application online at hsfm.org. He does have heartwork and back treatments that cost over $1500 in addition to neuter, heartworm test, vaccines, etc. Even if you can’t give Grizz a furr-ever home, you can help him out with his expenses by donating to the Humane Society’s Mercy Fund.
