Did you watch AMC’s The Walking Dead last night? By far the best episode of the season so far.
So, Lizzie is kind of crazy, we already knew this. She almost suffocated Judith, she thinks the zombies are just “different,” and on last night’s episode she finally slipped off the deep end. Lizzie killed her sister Mica. Only to prove that she’d come back and still be Mica. To prove that the zombies are people. Crazy!
Carol had to protect Judith, obviously, and has proven in the past that she isn’t afraid to make the tough decisions. After the unspoken decision was made with Tyreese that Lizzie had to go, Carol takes her on a walk where Lizzie discovers that Carol is mad at her. Lizzie walks away crying and in a moment ripped right from “Of Mice and Men”, Carol tells Lizzie, “just look at the flowers…” and after struggling for a moment, she pull out a revolver and BOOM! Lizzie is gone.
I think it was handled beautifully and was visceral, and un-sensationalized. It was just a raw, real, devastating moment, and one of the most shocking and poignant of the show so far!
