Actor Harold Ramis Dead At 69

Legendary actor/director Harold Ramis has reportedly died at the age of 69.

Ramis directed films such as Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Analyze This, and National Lampoon’s Vacation. Ramis also starred in Stripes, Ghostbusters, and Knocked Up. He also penned the films Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Meatballs, Groundhog Day, and Back To School.

CBS Chicago is reporting that Ramis passed away Monday morning from diverticulitis and other complications from the autoimmune disease.

Ramis was born in Chicago in 1941, and got his start at Second City Improv before starting his film career.

He is survived by his wife Erica Mann Ramis and his children Violet, Julian, and Daniel.
