Just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean you have to pack away the ice skates for another year. In fact, a new feature at Klyde Warren Park means you can ice skate outside with the beautiful skyline of downtown Dallas all around you!

The all-weather, never melting Super Glide ice rink means that you can skate all you want and not have to wait for the periodic visit from the ol’ zamboni. Skating on the rink is free, but you do have to pay $5 to rent skates. They do have a number of specials during the week that makes it worth your while! Mondays are Mommy and Me skating from 11AM to 12PM with free skate rentals for kids under 6. El Centro College sponsors Free Skate Tuesdays with complimentary skate rentals all day. Wednesday is College Night from 6PM to 8PM, and you student ID gets you half-off your skate rentals. Bring a friend to Date Night Thursdays from 6PM to 8PM when you can BOGO on skate rentals (rent a pair, get the other pair free).

The ice rink is open 7 days a week. The hours of operation are 11AM-8PM Monday-Thursday, 10AM-10PM Fridays and Saturdays, and 12PM-6PM on Sundays. Find more information at klydewarrenpark.org
