You would think that CNN being based in Georgia would know that the Georgia Lottery doesn’t pay store owners for selling winning lottery tickets. Imagine the embarrassment one CNN reporter is feeling now after telling the owner of the store that sold one of the winning Mega Millions tickets that she’ll get $1 million dollars when she really won’t. Oops.

Yahoo! News reports that CNN’s Martin Savidge was interviewing the Georgia store owner and told the woman she’d be getting a $1 million retailer bonus like the California store that sold one of the two winning Mega Millions tickets for Tuesday’s $636 million drawing.
