With a game time temperature of 18 degrees and a wind chill of -19 degrees, you would have thought that the Cowboys had frozen into ice statues. Our frost bitten Cowboys had their frosty socks handed to them by the Chicago Bears in a bone-chilling 45-28 Monday Night Football loss. Steve Kemble has all details in his Ride’em Cowboy Report!

Prime time public humiliations aside, we’ve gotta talk about the fabulous beanies with pompoms on top that all the Bears’ coaches were wearing! It seems to be a trend coming back. Tony says all the beanies in the new NFL catalog have pompoms on them.

Getting back to the football talk, we lost three players to injuries last night. Sean Lee will be out again, this time with a neck injury. Dwayne Harris and Bruce Carter are also out, both with hamstrings. All of this against a Bears’ back up quarterback.

Why isn’t Josh McGowan a Cowboys? The Bears’ QB is from Jacksonville, TX. He played at SMU and Sam Houston State. He’s played professionally for Arizona, Detroit, Miami, the Carolina Panthers, and the Bears.

Perhaps it’s no surprise that this is a typical December for Tony Romo. December must have a jinx on it for Tony. During the game last night, he was seen schooling running back DeMarco Murray and rookie center Travis Frederick on the sidelines. If December is such a problem for Tony, maybe he should be having these conversations with fellow players before the game rather than during. It’s too late.

Emmett Smith tweeted during the game to his 282,490 followers about the Cowboys defense that was retweeted more than 1,800 times by the end of the game.

Despite last night’s loss, we’re still 1 game behind Philly. Maybe the Cowboys can redeem themselves when we play Green Bay this Sunday. Let’s hope so!
