Julie has been cleaning out the closets in her house as her family prepares to put it on the market. She came across something hidden deep in the recesses of a closet long forgotten. Something hidden because it’s really too embarrassing to hang up in the house.
When Julie’s grandparents passed away, her dad was helping clear out the house before it was torn down. Julie jokingly asked for the painting of John Wayne that hung in the living room. Much to her surprise, her dad shows up with the painting and sort of bequeathes it to Julie. She sort of felt horrible for asking for the painting because it’s a huge, brown, and ultra depressing painting of John Wayne. So it sits, hidden in closets because it’s too huge and embarrassing to hang on a wall, plus Julie’s husband would tell her to take it down.
Tony might have something more embarrassing than a painting of John Wayne in his house. His Mom lives in Alaska and went through an Alaskan art phase for awhile. She sent him an item that looks like a magic wand with a walrus on one end and a bear on the other. As it turns out, it is an oosik. Essentially, what looks like wood is actually petrified walrus parts… as in those parts. It is meant to bring good luck.
