Yellow Dye To Be Removed From Mac ‘N’ Cheese
Kraft Foods is agreeing to take the yellow dye out of macaroni and cheese. The favorite food of kids and college students will never look the same again.
According to ABC News, Kraft Foods has agreed to pull the unnatural yellow dye out of their macaroni and cheese products. Instead of the artificial coloring, a new natural color made from spices like paprika will be added to the new recipe.
The change comes in response to a petition on Change.org started by two North Carolina bloggers, Lisa Leake and Vani Hari, that received over 348,000 signatures. The petition called the removal of the additives yellow dye 5 and yellow dye 6 over fears the dyes could harm children’s health.
