Conrad Murray Released From Jail; Quincy Jones Sues Jackson’s Estate
The doctor convicted of manslaughter for Michael Jackson’s death, is out of jail.
According to TMZ, hecklers were waiting outside for Murray to be released, and when word came out that he was secretly let go at 12:01 a.m. this morning, they voiced their frustrations with Murray’s attorney instead. When asked why Murray wasn’t walked out in the public eye, authorities would only say that it was for “safety” and “security”.
Murray has already said that he would like to practice medicine upon his release from a California prison, in October. He plans on fighting the revoction of his license at that time.
TMZ sources say that the California Medical Board will not be approving his license to practice again.
Murray only served 2 of his 4 year sentence.
As for Jackson’s estate, it is now being sued by his former collaboration partner Quincy Jones.
According to NME, Jones is suing both Sony Music Productions and Michael Jackson Productions for $10 million. Jones produced top selling albums “Off the Wall”, “Thriller” and “Bad”.
Jackson’s mother, Katherine, recently lost a lawsuit against AEG Live, the company that promoted the tour M.J. was about to take on in England.
Jackson died shortly before he was scheduled to head overseas.
