The ‘Breaking Bad’ news just keeps on coming. First, Colombia says it will create a Spanish version of AMC’s smash hit. So you ask yourself.. What spinoff could possibly be next?
Fans of the show are certainly disappointed Mr. White and Jessie Pinkman are officially over with.
But, now comes word that the show could be going to the big stage. Notice, I said stage and not screen.
What stage you ask? Well the opera stage of course.
According to EW, One World Symphony, in New York, wants to take the show to Broadway.
One World’s artistic director and conductor Sung Jin Hong confirmed that he’s working on composing ‘Breaking Bad’ – “Ozymandias”.
It will be a mini-opera based on both the show itself and the Percy Bysshe Shelley’s sonnet (titled “Ozymandias”). Specific details have yet to be released, though, Hong wrote a blog explaining that the mini-opera hopes to “explore the question that the drama obsessively and hauntingly asked: ‘are we all breaking bad?’”
‘Breaking Bad’ – “Ozymandias” can be see at One World Symphony, on January 26-27, 2014.
