Communion Burger Has Some Exclaiming Holy Cow
Missed church? Well, one Chicago restaurant says that you don’t have to miss out on Communion. Kuma’s Corner is serving unconsecrated communion wafers on a 10-ounce burger with a red wine reduction.
Chicagoist.com reports that restaurant Kuma’s Corner, known for a its more rock-themed burgers, has had some divine inspiration in the form of the The Ghost. While the burger is named for a Swedish band called Ghost BC, it’s making holy heads turn with its ingredients. It’s a 10-ounce beef patty with a bit of slowly braised goat shoulder served with a red wine reduction, aged white cheddar, ghost chili aioli, and an unconsecrated communion wafer.
Most seem to be taking the holy hamburger in good humor. There are a few naysayers who think the the folks at Kuma’s Corner could be spending their eternity on a fiery grill.
