Of course, today will be the first time Texans get an up-close look at the new Big Tex, who was unveiled yesterday. You’ll want to check him out and get your picture with him. You’ll also want to check out all of the fabulous Big Tex Choice Award finalists and all of their fried food greatness. You’ll definitely want to try the Fried Cuban Roll and Fried Thanksgiving Dinner.
This weekend’s concerts on the Main Stage will be Asleep At The Wheel tonight at 8:30PM, Blondie and X tomorrow night at 8:30PM, and David Garza Reunion on Sunday afternoon at 3PM. The Chinese Lantern Festival returns again this year with its beautiful glow. New this year is the Top o’ Texas Tower that will give you fantastic 360-degree views of Dallas from 450 feet.
You can buy your tickets to the Fair online at BigTex.com. Admission to the Fair is $14.95 for adults ($17 at the gates) and $11.95 for kids under 48″ tall ($13 at gates). The Fair will be open daily 10AM to 9PM Sundays through Thursdays, and 10AM to 10PM Fridays and Saturdays through closing day, October 20th.
