Big Tex’s new look got revealed a day early thanks to some high winds and helicopters sneaking peeks over his curtain. The official unveiling was supposed to be today to coincide with the opening of the 2013 State Fair of Texas, but Fair officials decided to go a day early in order to keep the new $500,000 Big Tex safe.
The new look has divided many North Texans over whether they like it or not. The consensus is that he looks even freakier than before. His face is more cartoonish and looks as if he spent too long in a spray tan booth. Many are also questioning why his jeans are rolled up in his boots.
We polled the room this morning to gather thoughts on the new Big Tex. Tony and John are a little freaked out by it, but Julie might be the only person in all of North Texas who loves the new Big Tex in all of his brand-new, freaky, terrifying glory.
