We may be used to Indian summers here in North Texas, but it seems like even the weather is celebrating Oktoberfest this weekend. This morning, Alpenmusikanten’s Alan Walling paid us a visit to talk about the awesomeness that is Addison’s 26th annual Oktoberfest.
We know that Oktoberfest stands for beer and brats, but Addison packs a whole lot more in the 4-day festival of all things German. In addition to the beers, ales, lagers, and copious amounts of food there will be authentic German entertainment with dancing and all that great oompah music! Dog lovers will not want to miss the dachshund races on Sunday. Saturday morning is a 5K run and 1 mile fun run benefiting Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer.
Head on out to Addison Circle Park for the 26th annual Oktoberfest! It kicks of Thursday, September 19th and runs through Sunday, September 22nd. Thursday night is FREE admission from 6PM to 11PM. Friday will be open from 6PM to midnight with $10 admission. Saturday admission is $5 from noon til 5PM, and $10 from 5PM to midnight. Sunday is $5 from noon til 5PM. All admission prices are for ages 4 and older. You can find out much more information by visiting addisontexas.net.
