Ben Affleck is set to replace Christian Bale as Batman in 2015’s Batman-Superman movie, which should hit theaters July 17, 2015.

USA Today is reporting that Warner Bros. made that announcement on Thursday. The still untitled film will be a sequel to this summer’s smash hit, Man Of Steel.

The film will also bring back Henry Cavill as Supermen and Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburn and Daiane Lane.

“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman,” director Zack Snyder said in a statement. “He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retains the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”

The reaction of fans on the internet has not been favorable, most referencing Affleck’s role in the 2003 movie Daredevil.
