Last week, we told you about 4-year-old Parker Pustejovsky who lost his dad, Joey, in the West Fertilizer Plant Explosion. Young Parker expressed his wish that a city park playground be rebuilt.

After a huge turnout for a hot dog lunch on Saturday with a silent auction and t-shirt sales to raise funds for the playground, the fundraiser was an overwhelming success. They raised $83, 000!!

The most amazing fact is Parker’s dad Joey Pustejovsky¬†was born on 8/3/1983 at 8:03 and weighed 8 lbs 3 oz. It would seem like Parker’s dad was smiling on this fantastic event this weekend.
