Everyone has stories to tell after a long weekend. The 4th of July 4-day weekend was long enough for some sort of shenanigans to take place. In honor of this fact, we are celebrating the 4th of “No-Lie” today with our crazy stories!

It’s a well-known fact Tony is not snake fan. Over the weekend, he was at a friend’s house in Ft Worth that looks over a lake. There were about 80 people there and they parked all over. Tony excused himself to go get something out of his car. On his way back, he was walking down a walkway beside the house when a snake slithers out of the bushes. Of course, Tony squeals. The snake turned its head and started to chase Tony. He screamed like a 5-year-old and ran towards the crowd. The snake disappeared back into the flower bed, leaving no evidence to corroborate Tony’s tale.

John went out to country to shoot fireworks with friends. They tried tying a couple of mortar shells together to get a better effect. The last pair they tried went wrong. One fuse was too short and went off before the other. The tube fell over, and the second one shot off towards their vehicles. They waited for all their vehicles to explode, but, thankfully, they didn’t.

On a similar note, Julie knows better than to do more than one firecracker at once. She also knows that you shouldn’t group them together in a small container, like a coffee can. In Arkansas one 4th of July, her cousin thought it would be funny to throw a lit firecracker in the coffee can and set off ALL the firecrackers. Julie is pretty sure they blew a hole in Grandma’s front yard.
