Debbie Gibson Talks About Cirque Musica And 25 Years Of Music
It’s been 25 years since “Foolish Beat” earned Debbie Gibson the title of the youngest female to write, record, and perform a #1 single. She’s done so much since she was 17. Since that first hit, she’s gone on to Broadway, theater, television, and movies.
The music industry has gone through many changes, so it’s possible that her record will stand unchallenged for the time being. Most of the young entertainers now are surrounded by a creative entourage that writes the songs for the performer. Gibson remembers attempting multi-track recording by lining up tape recorders on an ironing board.
Despite her varied career in stage and film, Gibson says she’s still a composer at heart. She’s written two songs that are featured in the new Cirque Musica that will be at kicking off its tour at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco this Saturday. While Gibson won’t be singing her songs, she is happy to leave that in the hands of the Cirque performers and the Dallas POPS who will join them on stage.
You don’t want to miss your chance to see this wonderful feast for the ears and eyes! There are only two performances on Saturday at 3PM and 7:30PM. Get your tickets online at ticketmaster.com and grab the family for entertaining fun!
