Messy break-ups used to be confined to friend, family, and innocent bystanders caught in the cross fire of flying flower pots and lamps. With the advent of the Internet, messy break-ups are now widely publicized across multiple social media platforms. A photo posted to Reddit of a handwritten break up letter is making the viral rounds of the Internet, and some are touting this as the “Best Break-Up Letter Ever.”
Yahoo! Shine reports that, while no one can confirm the truth of the letter, the sugar-laced venom of the letter is palpable. Yahoo’s Sarah B. Weir asks, “Is that red pen supposed to be the color of love or blood?”
Here is what the note says:
Guess who left his Facebook open on the computer, and got a message from Kelsi? Yeah! You! ;) But don’t worry, I didn’t break anything! Actually, I was nice enough to package your things! And I even invented a neat game, since I know you like looking for things (like other girls!) Here’s where you’ll find your stuff!
- Your clothes are where we first met!
- Your videogames are where we first kissed!
- Your laptop is where we bought our first videogame together!
- Your TV is where we went ‘all the way’.
- Everything else, including pictures of the last 2 years of our lives, is AT KELSI’S HOUSE!
Have fun! Oh, and while I didn’t break or damage anything, I can’t guarantee anybody else won’t find it! Happy hunting!“
Yikes! This letter is brilliant, and one can tell the author, while upset, penned it calmly and with clear intent. It far out shines the typical revenge-burning-of-items-in-cheating-scoundrel’s-car a la Angela Basset in Waiting to Exhale.
