On Tuesday (May 21) night, Maroon 5 released a video for their single “Love Somebody” that uses the inverse of green screen technology. Directed by Rich Lee (Eminemwill.i.am), the video utilizes an effect that causes band member’s body parts to show up as they are covered in a thick, paint-like substance.

Adam Levine manages to make messy sexy and is seen rubbing his hands, full of paint naturally, over the body of a female model.

The song, co-written by Levine, Nathaniel Motte of 3OH!3, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and producer Noel Zancanella (Demi Lovato, B.o.B.) is the fourth single off the band’s 2012 Overexposed LP.
