Richard French was a lead investigator for Project Blue Book in the 1950s. His job was to debunk false UFO reports. Despite his job, he never imagined he would find himself looking at what appeared to be two aliens performing repairs on a submerged circular craft in Newfoundland.

The 83-year-old French was recently in Washington, DC to testify at the Citizen Hearing On Disclosure about his work as a UFO debunker in 1952. There he described the Newfoundland incident where he was instructed by his superiors to look into reports of 2 UFOs being spotted by a number of people off the coast of St. John’s.

He told the Huffington Post about what he saw in the water that day. In water that was clear all the way to 200 feet, he saw 2 UFOs parked under the surface and what appeared to be 2 extraterrestrials doing maintenance work. One of the UFOs broke the surface of the water and took off at an incredible rate of speed. It came back 15 minutes later, dove under the water, and then both craft took off straight up and were never seen again.
