Straight out of the X-Files, a close call between a passenger jet carrying around 200 passengers and a UFO over Scotland is being investigated by British aviation authorities.
According to UPI.com, the Airbus A320 was flying near Glasgow, Scotland when pilots radioed into air traffic control they had “just had something pass underneath us quite close.”
The object did not set off the traffic collision avoidance alarm, but it was spotted by both the pilot and co-pilot. Glasgow Airport, 11 miles east of where the incident occurred, said that the object did not appear on radar either.
The British Airprox Board, which investigates close calls in the sky, say that the object wasn’t another plane, helicopter, or hot air balloon. They also say it’s unlikely that it could have been any kind of glider or para-motor.
Better put Mulder and Scully on the case.
