Fans of “Sound of Music’s” Von Trapp family are in for a treat this week. Elisabeth von Trapp, granddaughter of Maria and Baron Georg von Trapp, will be in town Wednesday, May 8th, to perform at an event celebrating V-E Day at 7PM.

The event is presented by the Daughters of Word War II and the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. It will honor veterans who served during WWII and Holocaust survivors. This special event will take place at the Dallas City Performance Hall, 2520 Flora St in downtown Dallas.

The V-E Day celebration event will take place at the new City Performance Hall. Go to our site for times and ticket information. Let me mention tickets are free for World War II vets and Holocaust survivors, members and guests of the Daughters of Word War II and the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth are $25, and general admission for anyone else is $50. You must make a reservation as seating is limited.
