First dates are bad enough, but sometimes your date does something that just adds to the embarrassment. This morning, we talked about the worst things that could happen on a first date.

The conversation started with Tony’s account of a first date he witnessed where the man paid with a coupon. Well, he didn’t just pay with the coupon, he highlighted the fact that he had a coupon and he would be using it to pay for the meal. Maybe it’s not the worst thing that could happen on a first date, but it certainly makes a bad impression. No woman wants to find out the man she’s on a date with is more concerned about saving $10 on a meal than making a connection.

Julie’s account of a first date gone awry might take the award. Her handsome first date got a little too drunk during dinner. Apparently he was a regular at the restaurant because he knew the waitress’ name and she was trying to give Julie the “run away!” look. The worst part came after Julie returned from the restroom and found her date at the door trying to get her to hurry and leave. She quickly figured out that her date intended to “dine and dash.”

A listener called in with a doozy of a tale about a date who’s dinner time discussion topic was not clipping his toe nails!
