Michael Bublè is absolutely giddy over feeling his baby boy kick for the first time, but he’s not as excited about naming the little guy.

The singer talked with Fresh 102.7 in New York about him and his wife, Argentine actress/model Luisana Lopilat’s ongoing search for the perfect baby name.

“I’ve been fighting for very manly names,” he said. “But she’s fighting me on those.”

That comes as no surprise with some of the names Bublè, whose album To Be Loved came out this week, has on his mind like Spartacus, Magnus and Thor.

“That’s what I call my biceps,” Bublè said jokingly. “Magnus and Thor.”

On a more serious note, Michael says he would like to name his son after the legendary baritone singer Von Monroe, known for his big band rendition of “Let It Snow.

But Luisana is not having it. His wife prefers that their son have a Spanish first name, though Bublè admits that the “names that she thinks are awesome in Spanish, don’t work in English.” But luckily she is willing to play fair with the baby’s middle name. Well, sort of.

“I think that I’m going to honor my father by giving a middle name or middle initial or at least something,” he said. “And she says that’s okay as long as her father’s initial is there too.”
