Man Steals Car To Get To X-Factor Audition
One man was so desperate to sing for Simon Cowell that he stole a car. Police say 20-year-old Orrion Wilson stole a Pontiac Grand Prix and led police on a chase all because he didn’t want to miss his second audition for X-Factor.
Open auditions had been held in New Orleans on Sunday, and Wilson, who came from Jacksonville, Fla., had come to New Orleans to audition and then returned home. Apparently he couldn’t find a car to get back to New Orleans for the second audition, so he helped himself to someone else’s.
He was captured in Slidell, just across Lake Pontchartrain from NOLA, after a police chase that ended with the stolen Pontiac being forced to spin-out. According to the Huffington Post, Wilson is being held in Slidell as he awaits transfer to another jail. He’ll be charged with a variety of charges including aggravated assault of a police officer and theft of a motor vehicle.
