Dallas Woman Gives Her First Hand Account Of Boston Marathon Explosions

We know all that there were many North Texans in Boston to participate in the Boston Marathon yesterday when those tragic explosions occurred. It was impossible to escape video footage and photographs of the mayhem that gave us the facts of what happened, but it’s an entirely different experience to have been there with the sights, sounds, smells, and overwhelming emotions.

Allyson Gump had just crossed the finish line moments before two explosions rocked the course of the Boston Marathon. After grabbing her medal, her legs locked up from a previous running injury and went to the medical tent to get treatment. She had just left the medical tent when she heard the sound of the first explosion.

She chatted with us this morning about what she saw and experienced during the moments before and after the tragic events in Boston. Listen to her story:
