Josh Hamilton may have kicked over a hornets nest with his “baseball town” comments earlier this year, but this weekend, he finally felt the sting.
During his first at bat Friday at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, fans booed, turned their backs on the game, and a few clever fans whipped out newspapers. They even cheered and applauded when he struck out. The vitriol and indifference being shown Hamilton during his visit with the Angels didn’t seem to change his mind about Dallas being more of a football town than a baseball town.
His post game comments seemed to stir the pot even more. In this post-game interview on Friday, Josh Hamilton looks into the camera and addresses the fans about the noise level.
