Reporting Tony Zazza
We spoke to Brandon Holmes back in February about his Silence 4 Josh campaign, and this Friday, Ranger fans, true baseball fans, can show Josh Hamilton what he think about his comment about DFW not being a baseball town.
Josh Hamilton said that when he returns to Rangers Ballpark as an Angel, real fans will cheer for him and everyone else will boo him. They say the opposite of love is indifference, so 15-year-old Brandon Holmes says, let’s show Josh that we don’t care about him. Rather than cheer or boo him, let’s give Josh Hamilton absolute silence.
Since speaking to Brandon, the Silence 4 Josh campaign has gained steam and notoriety, and t-shirts for the campaign are nearly sold out in some sizes. You can still get a t-shirt at the Silence 4 Josh Pre Opening Day Jam at Grease Monkey in Arlington on Thursday night. $20 admission will get you in the door and a t-shirt to remind everyone DFW has be a baseball town since 1972.
Join us at Boomer Jack’s in Arlington for a live broadcast and watching party on Friday. We’ll have these awesome “Silence” signs to shush anyone who wants to boo Josh Hamilton.
We chatted with Brandon Holmes this morning about Josh Hamilton’s reaction to the Silence 4 Josh campaign.
