Hallelujah!! Celebrity dietitian Dr. John Salerno says that bacon, cheese, ice cream, and other foods are indeed good for you!
Salerno says that foods that have been traditionally given a bad rap health-wise are actually good for you. Ice cream, cheese, butter, coconut oil, and that heavenly candy of meats, bacon, can be beneficial to your health.
“Besides being high in protein for energy, muscle and brain function, studies have shown that bacon actually lowers blood sugar levels and blood pressure. Chock full of vitamins, bacon contains choline, a whole slew of vitamin Bs, and important minerals for mood,” Salerno says.
