Animal lovers know just how important rescue shelters are to saving pets from overcrowded city shelters. Places like Second Chance SPCA in Plano are important to providing animals homes with forever families through pet adopt. Anne Bracken, one of the original founders and President of Second Chance SPCA, is promoting a fundraiser for shelter to find it a permanent home.
Second Chance SPCA has been in the same location since its beginning seven years ago. They have rescued and re-homed over 2,300 animals from their two-room shelter. However, in January, they were notified that their lease would not be renewed and they had until April to relocate. Thus, Second Chance SPCA kicked off their $30,000 In 30 Days fundraisers to help them purchase a permanent facility.
Anne Bracken chatted with Tony Zazza this morning about Second Chance SPCA’s fundraiser, but she didn’t know about the wonderful surprise that was waiting for her.
