In an effort to help things along in the romance department, the zoo in Edinburg, Scotland has changed their zoo radio station to play music specifically purposed for helping their two pandas… well… get it on.

Female pandas only ovulate once a year and are fertile for only a couple of days afterwards, so zoo handlers have a very narrow window in which to help Yang Guang mate with his lady panda love Tian Tian. According to his handlers, Yang Guang is more sensitive to background noise, so zoo officials are hoping that playing soothing music will help get him in the mood for love.

They have also been training the pandas to stand up on their hind legs to help them… you know… when the time comes. Hopefully, it will be soon as reports note that Tian Tian has begun producing high-pitched chirps that indicate that she’s entering her mating season. Cue the Marvin Gaye playlist and close the curtains.
