More Videos Surface Of Russian Meteor Explosion

As the world was turning its eyes to the skies for the extremely close fly-by of asteroid 2012 DA14, residents of Central Russia were caught by surprise as another meteor fell from the sky just as the sun was coming up.

The high volume of dashboard cameras in vehicles has led to an incredible amount of video footage. The New York Times even put of a grid of the meteor falling from 6 vantage points.

The 10 ton meteor is thought to have mostly evaporated in the atmosphere, but tiny fragments were found around an impact hole in the frozen surface of a nearby lake.

One of the most astonishing videos is one where the actual sound of the explosion, the pressure wave bursting windows and setting off car alarms, and the subsequent smaller booms of the fragments breaking the sound barrier.
