The memorial service for the former Navy SEAL sniper will be held today at Cowboys Stadium. The service is open to the public, and thousands are expected to attend.

If you are heading to Cowboys Stadium for Kyle’s memorial, you’ll want to park in Lots 1, 2, or 10. Doors open at 11:30AM and the memorial will begin at 1PM.

Visitors may bring flowers for the field, and they should be dropped off this morning at Gates A and K. The flowers will be donated to veterans hospitals after the memorial.

Before you arrive, you’ll need to be aware that no bags, purses, or cameras will be allowed in the stadium. Rather than leaving your belongings in the car, pocket only what you need and leave your personal items at home or in the office.

On Tuesday, there will be a procession for Chris Kyle from Midlothian to Austin so that he may be interred at the Texas State Cemetery. The procession will start at the Multi-Purpose Stadium in Midlothian and head south on 14th Street to US 287. The route will then travel south on I-35E to Texas State Cemetery in Austin at 909 Navasota Street.

Motorists traveling along the route should expect delays during the 4-5 hour drive as the motorcade is expected to include family, military personnel, first responders, and Patriot Guard Riders. The motorcade is expected to travel at a speed of 50MPH.
