The ‘Key To The City’ cocktail took New Orleans by storm over the weekend with the Super Bowl in town. The $10,000 drink that will be served at the Windsor Court Hotel until Feb. 12th is one of the most expensive drinks ever invented.
Made of D’Oliveriras Malvasia 1907 Maderia Cobbler and served in a silver julep cup and a gold key, the ‘Key to the City’ is more than an investment.
You also get a future stay at the hotel in the penthouse for two nights, with concierge and a butler, a bottle of champagne a tour of the city and two spa treatments.
“This is an exciting time in New Orleans with all eyes on the city for two major back-to-back events,” David Teich, general manager of the Windsor Court Hotel told WHAS. “The Windsor Court prides itself on visitor experiences and wanted to offer a once-in-a-lifetime cocktail for new guests to enjoy the festive weekend and entice Super Bowl visitors to come back to explore the city again in the future.”
If ten grand is a little to steep a price for you, $2,000 can get you a less expensive cocktail with some of the same benefits. The “Key To The Court” is made with Louis XIII Cognac.
