After a long week, everyone just needs a few minutes of zen on Friday.
Photographer Mark Gee filmed the full moon rising against the silhouettes of people gathering at the Mount Victoria Lookout in Wellington, New Zealand. The gorgeous and huge full moon rises to fill the screen and illuminate people moving about on the lookout, and the most amazing part of the video is that it happens in the actual time that it takes the moon to rise. No editing, no manipulation.
He actually wasn’t anywhere near the lookout when he captured this video. According to the description on the video’s page, he was set up on the other side of the city, 2.1km (1.3 miles away).
It’s only 3:46 minutes long, so breathe deep and take in the zen-filled beauty of the full moon rising.
