American Idol is very good at finding the inspirational stories. Kayden Stephenson from Tulsa, Okla. is a 16-year-old boy with cystic fibrosis with oodles of talent.

He got the golden ticket to Hollywood after impressing the judges with his version of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish.” The 16-year-old cutie reminded judge Mariah Carey of another young teen heart throb, Justin Bieber.

His incredible story is so inspiring because he’s very open about having cystic fibrosis. Kayden realizes that having cystic fibrosis gives him a shorter window to live than most kids his age. With a wisdom beyond his years, he shared with the world his dream to live as much as he can in the time that he has.

Kayden spoke with Tony Zazza this morning about his American Idol experience and following his dreams.
