The Huffington Post is reporting that daddy knows best when it comes to Britney Spears’ love life.

Her split from fiance Jason Trawick was orchestrated by the pop star’s father.

According to the report, Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, was the one who actually received the message from Trawick that the he wanted to end the relationship. Jamie Spears then broke the bad news to his daughter.

Reports indicate that Trawick didn’t want the singer to break down, and thought the news would be better delivered by her father.
