It’s often said that funerals are a celebration of life. They are often sober occasions with the rare teary-eyed laughter at a funny memory.

Dallas-based Golden Gate Funeral Home has garnered itself some notoriety for it’s unique  funerals, called “home-going celebrations.” If Golden Gate sounds familiar, they are the funeral home that hosted a memorial service for Big Tex back in October. Now they have their very own TLC reality show called “Best Funeral Ever.”

Think of the wildest funeral you’d ever want to have as your final send off, and Golden Gate will do it for you. The singer-songwriter behind the Chili’s baby-back ribs jingle got a BBQ themed send off in honor of his greatest achievement, and it was complete with a smoker-shaped casket, pallbearers in chef hats, and BBQ sauce bottles with his face on them.

If you missed last night’s episode, you can catch TLC’s “Best Funeral Ever” again tomorrow at 9PM.
