The Dallas Museum of Art‘s weekly Jazz In The Atrium kicks the New Year off in a special way tonight. They are hosting their 5th annual Tenor Madness Concert, and tonight’s concert will honor legendary Dallas jazz tenor, Marchel Ivery.

From 6PM to 8PM this evening, you can enjoy the sounds of jazz in the atrium at the DMA played by a tribute band featuring some of the best jazz players in Dallas, such as Shelley Carrol, Chris McGuire, Andrew Griffith, and Roger Boykin. There will be a casual dinner and cocktails in the DMA Cafe for you to enjoy with the performance.

Tonight’s Tenor Madness Concert performance is included in the price of general admission to the Dallas Museum of Art, which is $10 for non-member adults. Between 5PM and 9PM, students and educators can enjoy free admission to the museum with a current Texas school ID. If you ride DART, your DART ticket will get you $1 off admission. Get your tickets and find more information about tonight’s event by visiting dallasmuseumofart.org.
