Jessica Simpson’s endorsement deal with Weight Watchers is skating on thin ice. For the second time, her $4 million deal with the diet plan is in danger.
The first time the weight loss deal came into peril was when Simpson had not dropped enough weight before the filming of her first endorsement ad. The folks at Weight Watchers were reportedly unhappy that the commercial had to be shot from the waist up.
Simpson is pregnant again just a mere seven months after giving birth to her daughter Maxwell Drew in May, and that has Weight Watchers execs seething. A source close to the star revealed to US Magazine that, “they’re furious at Jessica.”
Now, the campaign revealing Simpson’s 70-pound loss may not air as a result of the new pregnancy news. The people at Weight Watchers are concerned about the reception of a pregnant woman touting a dieting plan.
Only time will tell if the ads will air and what will become of Jessica’s endorsement deal.
