Best Tech Gifts To Give This Christmas
If you aren’t a huge technology wizard, buying for a techie can be a little rough. So we turned to our Tech guru David Rancken to find out what we should get to fill out our list for those savvy in the world of technology.
This is widely considered to be the best mini tablet going. 7 inch tablets are some of the hottest in the category right now, with the iPad Mini, the NOOK HD, and the Kindle Fire HD. THe Nexus 7 Also has a smaller price point and better screen than the Apple version.
Like it or not, Apple’s iPad and iPhone are the big gorillas in the world of tablets and smartphones. The latest iPad has the retina display, which is just about the crispest screen you’ll see in a tablet.
The only phone that can compare to the iPhone at this point. I love this phone. It’s the one I’m using right now. The Scree is almost five inches across, bigger than the iPhone and it makes reading the internet or playing games a lot easier. The android system is very user-friendly too, with lots of apps.
Printers are more than just printers at this point. They’re now labeled as all in one devices. They have to do more than print your documents. They scan, they pring from the cloud, they even have apps. I love this printer as the leading edge. The isn’t unreasonably priced either.
There are many makes and models of HDTV’s. You don’t need to break the bank to find good quality. Vizio makes some very nice HDTV’s for the budget concious. I wouldn’t worry about 3D Tv quite yet. It’s not really catching on at this point and there isn’t much programming designed to use it.
This is one of those all in one desktop computers, but this one is the cream of the crop. You’ll need desk space for the monitor, because it’s a big one. 27 inches. Easy to underestimate how big that is. You want a big screen to watch movies in your office? This is it.
It’s a laptop computer that could make you figure out that you don’t need a desktop computer at all. It’s one of those “Be All You Can Be” laptops. The screen is 1080p and it comes with a Blu-Ray player.
I love TV and video in all shapes and sizes. The Roku player is a great clearing house place for Netflix, Hulu, the networks, Pandora. You can even play Angry Birds on it.
